We hear the On Air spots playing instead of injected spots, why?

If a station is hearing the on air stop sets instead of the injected stop sets, 99% of the time that means that the station automation system has stopped sending data to the streaming PC.  This can be verified by accessing any user’s Client Console account and scrolling below the three graphs on the home page.  Check to see if there is a red blinking light in the alert column for the station listing.  If so, click on it to open a more detailed synopsis in a pop-up window.

When the pop-up window appears, check to see if both the Last Spot Played alert and the Last Data Received alert are showing red.  If so, then the automation system has stopped sending data to the streaming PC.  Just reach out to the local station engineering or IT staff and have them restart the automation data exports.  Once the station receives data for two continuous Check-in's, the alert will automatically clear itself.

NOTE: In most cases, restarting the streaming PC will not solve this issue since the issue is actually with the automation data, not the streaming PC.  In some rare cases, there could be a networking or firewall issue at play which is preventing the automation data from getting to the streaming machine.  But in either instance, the local station staff should be able to resolve the issue quickly once they are notified by other station personnel.
